The UOS portal and WISE

Introduction

Through the Portal, you can register or drop classes, access online classroom which provides an online bulletin board of each class, sign up for Office 365 provided by UOS, and more.
The UOS Portal serves as a gate to major services such as University Administration (WISE), library, online classroom, webmail, and electronic attendance system, and they can be accessed with the same Portal ID and password.
For information on how to change or setup the passwords for Portal and WIFI, please refer to the following links.

대학행정정보 (University Administration Information)

WISE is a comprehensive university information and management system where you can find class information, change the personal information including your WIFI password, and more.
The UOS Portal supports various web browsers such as Edge, and Chrome.
The browser languages currently supported by the UOS Portal are only Korean and English. Thus, you may need to change your browser language to Korean or English to see the correct menu titles.
The following explains how to change the language to Korean or English.
  • How to change Edge browser to Korean or English.
    • The steps below are how to change to Korean. If you want to change to English, you can select English instead of Korean.

  • 1. In the windows setting, click.
  • 2. Click[Time & Language] in the Language Options.

  • 3. Then click on[Language].

  • 4. Click [Add a language] on the next screen.

  • 5. Select ‘한국어(Korean)’ and click [Next] on the next screen.

  • 6. After checking the items as shown in the following screen, click [Install].

  • 7. Select ‘한국어(Korean)’ in Windows display language on the next screen.
  • 8. Select 'Yes, sign out now' on the next screen.

  • 9. As shown in the following screen, you can connect to the University Administration Information (WISE) and confirm that the language has been changed to Korean.

How to access WISE in portal
  • 1. Log in to the UOS portal : http://portal.uos.ac.kr
    • For your ID and password, please contact the administration office of your department.

  • 2. Choose “대학행정”, the 2nd menu.

  • 3. Choose “Course/Grade” menu.
Menus in English (Course/Grade)
  • Course Evaluation: during midterm & final
  • Class schedule for General Courses
  • Class schedule for Major Courses
  • Timetable: Course Registration Confirm (Timetable format)
  • Course Registration: only during course change period
  • Course Drop/Withdraw: only during course drop period
  • Grades
  • Final Grade
  • Register WiFi
  • Course Evaluation
    • The course evaluation period is announced at the end of each semester.
    • (1) Select the dropdown menu: “Year – Semester – Evaluation period – Name/Student No.”
    • (2) Click the button, “수업평가” and you can see the page of Course Evaluation.
    • (3) Select “Evaluation period” and “Course title”.
    • (4) Click the button for each question for the course.

  • Class schedule for General Courses
    • (1) Select “Year” and “Semester” from the dropdown menu.

    • (2) Click the button “Search” and you can see the lists of courses.

    • (3) Confirm the course number and you can register the course on the Course Registration tap.

  • Class schedule for Major Courses
    • (1) Select the dropdown menu: “Year – Semester – College/graduate School – College – Department.”

    • (2) Click the button “Search” and you can see lists of course names from the department you choose.

    • Timetable
    • (1) Select the dropdown menu: “Year – Semester”.
    • (2) Click the button “Search”.
  • Course Registration
    • (1) Write the Course number and the course type that you want to take.
    • (2) Select the course you want to take and click “Apply” button in the Lecture part.
    • (3) Select the course you want to drop and click “Delete” button in the Registered course part.
  • Course Drop/Withdraw
    • (1) Select the dropdown menu: “Year – Semester – Name/Student NO.”
    • (2) Confirm the “Course name” and “Course No.”
    • (3) Click the “Apply” button for the course you want to Drop/Withdraw.

    • (1) Grade: You can check your grades during the grading period.
