Students / Faculty

Students and faculty at University of Seoul can use the following WiFi SSID:

UOS WiFi can be connected in the following ways depending on the OS of your device:

• Android
  • The interface may vary depending on Android devices.
    • ※ The device used in the images is the Galaxy S21 with Android version 11.
    • ※ If the device is not the same as the one used in the image, you can still achieve the same result by following similar steps.
  • How to connect to a WiFi network:
    • ① Go to your phone's "Settings".
    • 
    • ② Make sure WiFi is turned on and go to the "WiFi" settings.
    • ※ You can also enter the WiFi settings by pressing and holding the WiFi icon in the image above.
    
    
    • ③ Select "Member@UOS" among the available SSIDs.
    • 
    
    
    • ④ If you are connecting to a WiFi network for the first time, you will be asked to enter some details. Make sure the following details are correctly entered:
    • ● EAP method: PEAP
    • ● CA certificate: Do not validate.
    • ● ID: UOS portal ID
    • ● Password: The password you set in the UOS portal.
    • ● Auto reconnect: On
    • 
    • ⑤ Press the "Connect" button and make sure you are connected to WiFi.
• iOS
  • How to connect to a WiFi network:
    • ① Go to your phone's "Settings".
    • 
    
    
    • ② Go to the "WiFi" setting.
    • 
    
    
    • ③ Once activating WiFi, select "Member@UOS" among the available SSIDs.
    • 
    
    
    • ④ Enter the user name and password set in the UOS portal, and then press the Connect button.
    • 
    
    
    • ⑤ Press 'Trust' in the certificate screen.
    • 
    
    
    • ⑥ Make sure you are connected to a WiFi.
    • 
• Windows
  • How to connect to a WiFi network:
    • ① On the tray icon at the bottom of the desktop, click the network icon (a globe icon) in the image below.
    • 
    
    
    • ② Select "Member@UOS" among the available SSIDs.
    • 
    
    
    • ③ Enter the user name and password set in the UOS portal.
    • 
    
    
    • ④ Press the "Connect" button and make sure you are connected to a WiFi.
    • 
• Mac OS
  • How to connect to a WiFi network:
    • ① On the top tray icon of the desktop, click the internet icon in the image below.
    • 
    
    
    • ② Select "Member@UOS" among the available SSIDs.
    • 
    
    
    • ③ When the certificate confirmation window appears, click the 'Continue' button.
    • 
    
    
    • ④ Enter the user name and password set in the UOS portal, and then click the 'Connect' button.
    • 
    
    
    • ⑤ When the certificate confirmation window appears, click the 'Continue' button.
    • 
    
    
    • ⑥ Check the WiFi connection.
